• Location Data (Students Only): Precise Location Data (GPS and network-based). The App requires access to your location to verify your presence within the designated geofenced area set by your professor/institution.
• Device Information: Device model, operating system version, and unique device identifiers to prevent attendance fraud (e.g., multiple accounts logging in from a single device).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected data strictly for educational and administrative purposes, specifically to:

• Authenticate users and associate them with their respective colleges.
• Allow professors to initiate and manage live attendance sessions.
• Validate student attendance by cross-referencing the student's current location with the institution's geofenced boundaries.
• Generate and maintain attendance reports for college administrators and professors.
• Prevent proxy attendance and unauthorized platform manipulation.

3. Location Data Handling & Transparency

Because location data is considered sensitive under Google Play policies, we strictly adhere to the following principles:

• Purpose Limitation: Location data is accessed only when a student attempts to check into an active attendance session.
• No Background Tracking: The App does not track your location in the background or when the App is closed.
• No Storage of Location History: We do not store your exact coordinate history on our servers. We only store the binary result (e.g., "Present" or "Absent") derived from the geofence check.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We value your privacy and do not sell or lease your personal data to third-party advertisers. Your information is shared only under the following circumstances:

• With Your Institution: Your attendance logs, name, and student ID are directly accessible by your designated college professors and institution administrators.
• Service Providers: We may utilize secure cloud infrastructure providers (e.g., database and hosting services) to operate the platform under strict confidentiality terms.
• Legal Obligations: We may disclose information if required to do so by applicable law or valid legal processes.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures, including HTTPS encryption for data in transit and secure hashing for sensitive identifiers, to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. However, please note that no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your personal data for as long as your account remains active or as required by your academic institution. Users or institutional administrators can request account and data deletion at any time by contacting us through the support channels provided below.

7. Children's Privacy

Our services are intended for students and faculty members of higher education institutions. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, we will immediately delete it from our servers.
